Facade
The new Loro Piana boutique at Dubai Mall pairs Italian sophistication with innovative façade lighting to create a subtle but unforgettable retail presence. Designed by Metis Lighting and supplied in collaboration with Arkilux, the lighting concept enhances a copper-toned mosaic of cylindrical elements with discreet illumination that reveals texture, form, and movement.
Nestled in one of the world’s largest and most prestigious shopping destinations, the boutique stands out through restraint and refinement. Dubai Mall is home to over 1,200 retail outlets, flagship fashion brands, and millions of global visitors each year—making it the perfect setting to showcase lighting as part of a luxury brand experience.
Concealed Linealux L5 linear grazers from Lumascape were installed behind the façade elements, creating a warm amber glow that traces the surface of each cylindrical piece. The result is a shimmering effect that shifts subtly as passersby move across the storefront—highlighting the brand’s understated luxury without overwhelming the architecture.
With a slim profile, robust outdoor-rated build, and exceptional colour fidelity, Linealux L5 demonstrates how performance-grade façade lighting can also deliver quiet elegance in high-end interior and semi-interior environments.
The lighting solution achieves more than visual beauty—it reinforces Loro Piana’s identity through atmosphere and material expression. The glow mimics the warmth of woven copper, drawing shoppers into a space defined by softness, quality, and heritage.
Just as the boutique expresses tactile craftsmanship through textiles and finishes, the lighting mirrors that language in visual form. The result is a cohesive, immersive experience from façade to fit-out.
Lumascape supports designers and global brands with precision lighting tools that offer control, durability, and visual comfort. Whether integrated into signature storefronts or expansive architectural envelopes, our luminaires help bring material, movement, and mood into perfect balance.
